The Ingham's run for Metro SWAT

Donation protected
Yes, it’s true. Curtis and Laurene are strapping on their running shoes and hitting the pavement for this year’s 119th running of the Boston Marathon, to be held Monday, April 20, 2015. Not only will this mother/son tandem be seeking to notch personal milestones, they’ll also be doing so for a cause of great sentiment. The third member of the Ingham clan, Laurene’s husband Brian (Curtis’s dad), is a current member of the Metro SWAT Team.

The Metro SWAT Officers Association, is a longtime charitable organization with sturdy ties to the local community. Moments after the Boston Marathon Bombing Metro SWAT was in Boston assisting in the search for the terrorist. They were also a key element in clearing neighborhoods in Watertown after the shootout. As if that wasn't enough, less than one month later this team organized the now reputable and widely known New England Fitness Challenge at Gillette Stadium to support The One Fund. The Metro SWAT Officers Association has raised over $125,000 for various charities including, The Patriots Charitable Foundation, The Special Olympics, Wednesday’s Child, and more.

While these individuals risk their lives every day to preserve our safety, these proceeds will not only support their future education and training, but it will also support their families in the event of any misfortune sustained  in the line of duty.

We couldn't think of a better way to honor these men at the 2 year anniversary of one of their bravest and toughest mission.

Thank you for supporting Laurene, Curtis, and Metro SWAT!
