Help Ukrainians with Disabilities
Tax deductible
Ukraine has limited services for wheelchair bound Ukrainians and now that war is going to make this population spike, we need your help to help them live a better life...
Any donation you make will be tax deductible and if your company works with Benevity, we can also get donation matching. Stock based donations through donor advised funds are also possible.
"As a wheelchair user I understand the struggles one goes through when faced with life in a wheelchair. Electric assist handcycling was one of the few activities since my accident that has made me all but forget my disability. It is the only thing I have done that has me feel able bodied again, which is why my family and I started ablebodied.org, a free program in San Jose where we show people the magic of electric assist handcycling." - Wojtek
We want to start an electric assist handcycling program for Ukrainian refugees in Cycow Poland and eventually war survivors with disabilities at the Agape rehab complex in Lutsk Ukraine (detailed plan ).

We want to start an electric assist handcycling program for Ukrainian refugees in Cycow Poland and eventually war survivors with disabilities at the Agape rehab complex in Lutsk Ukraine (detailed plan ).
In partnership with the European Spinal Cord Injury Federation (ESCIF ), Agape rehab center in Lutsk Ukraine, and Inclusive Cycling International we have come up with a plan to bring an electric assist handcycling program to a safe house in Cycow Poland, 30 km from the Ukranian border. We will bring at least two handcycles to run a week long clinic at the safehouse and donate the bikes to the Agape rehab center in Lutsk Ukraine after this is done. The Agape rehab center is an oasis of care and accessibility in a country where there are very few resources for people in wheelchairs. A population that is unfortunately bound to grow after the war.
I am reaching out to you in an effort to raise some funds for the project. We have partnered with Inclusive Cycling International, a 501c3 non-profit in Berkeley CA that sets up handcycling programs in developing countries.
I have a cost breakdown of our project expenses in our project plan. We are trying to be as frugal as possible and any money we raise above and beyond our costs will be donated to Agape and ESCIF.
If you happen to work for a company that does donation matching through Benevity (ex. Google, Microsoft, Nvidia), Inclusive Cycling International is registered and will receive matching. Just make sure to note down that your donation is for the Ukraine project. We can also receive funds through stocks via donor advised funds.
