Salaries for Nepali NGO Workers

A while ago I went back to university to work on a masters degree in community and sustainable development. I've been working with the people of a small village in eastern Nepal called Namsaling.

My work is focused on community health, water and sanitation and as part of my research I will be working with the local community organization, The Namsaling Community Development Center, or NCDC.

While I have the funds to support myself and to cover my costs while I'm working I don't expect the people in the village to work for free - it's not reasonable or fair given the importance of their contribution to the work I'm doing - and this is where you come in.

I need to raise at least $5000.00 to help pay salaries and per-diems to the people who will be helping me in the village and contributing their knowledge to the work as a whole . Their hard work and dedication are the only reason I can do this research on community health, research that will benefit the people of the village in a real and tangible way.

So please lend a hand. A little goes a long way.
