NGPDF - Support For Young Golf Players of Color
Tax deductible
As an avid golfer and 30 year golf industry veteran, I have watched many industry and collegiate golf tournaments in which there were very few young players of color participating. I know the reasons for this are varied, but I wondered, “If an organization was created to directly address removing some of the hurdles that create this situation would the landscape be different?” I decided it was time to make a difference and find out "What If."
National Golf Player Development Foundation (NGPDF), a registered 501c3 Not For Profit was created to provide unprecedented funding and resource assistance to programs and/or individuals that offer skill development and playing opportunities for young people of color and connect them to premier experiences in competitive golf. Currently, the cost to the family of a competitive male or female golfer of color ranges from $20K to $60K annually. NGPDF seeks to significantly elevate the playing ability of young people of color by providing financial resources and skill development support services to address the cost of equipment, instruction, tournament fees, ongoing player development costs, etc. NGPDF provides a platform that fosters partnerships that promote a player's skill development.
Thousands of golfers and non-golfers wonder how they can make a difference and support a young person of color to play this game on a competitive basis. Your donation to NGPDF would go a long way toward our goal. You could donate to this page every time you play a round of golf this year. Your local club can donate. You can make an annual donation and have your company match that donation if your company has an employee charitable match program. The opportunities are endless. The young people that are part of the NGPDF will benefit immensely from your generosity and will be extremely appreciative.
