Help Lisa Move Forward

Lisa Heath Fraser, a Cannon Beach business owner, well known and loved by many in the local area is in need of financial help.

Lisa became a widow on Feb. 25th 2016 after her husband John's long battle with cancer. Lisa very bravely and diligently respected John’s wish to stay in his home until he transitioned. She stayed by his side and personally took care of him, only bringing in additional help when needed. Having assisted her for the past year, I can say that he was lovingly cared for. She did this at a price. She was, and still is, exhausted from taking care of John,  shouldering the responsibility of keeping the business up and running,  as well as the many things that come with a prolonged illness of a loved one. 

Now there is hardship and  worry  due to financial issues. John did not have any life insurance and the last few years have been a financial drain due to the expense of his care. Lisa was not able to work her Kite Shop as usual and had to extend her payroll to include paid caregivers.  Being a seasonal business there hasn’t been much income over the winter months. She has also been on  leave from her Animal Communication services due to John's illness. 

  Despite best efforts, the home she and John shared for many happy years is in foreclosure. She will be moving into a 1 bdrm. rental.  There are moving expenses, legal expenses for John's estate, as well as preparing for the upcoming kite season.
