Nguyen Family (Lahaina Maui Fire Relief Aid)

TLDR: We truly appreciate any amount of kindness, even as much as a meal or a blanket.

My name is Tiffany and I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my relatives, who lost their home to the horrific fires that engulfed our beautiful Lahaina town in Maui, HI on August 8.

I am extremely grateful that their family of 5 are safe and unharmed but tragically, they have lost not only their house but their livelihoods. Our family has been a part of the Lahaina community for over 30 years, owning a small jewelry shop on Front St for most of that time (Gold Island and Elegane Fine Jewelry, if you’re familiar). Sadly, we had to give up that storefront during the pandemic, and my aunt moved to running her business out of her home. With less than an hour to evacuate, their family was only able to grab their most valuable possessions, leaving behind clothing, merchandise, supplies, appliances, and much more.

Still recovering from the recent loss of my grandmother who lived with them and anticipating large upcoming college tuition costs for their eldest son, my aunt and her family were already in a tight financial position. It will be a long journey to recovery, so we are asking for donations to help them get back on their feet.
