Horrific car crash leaves family of 5 injured

On Sunday December 27, a serious crash in Coquitlam Sunday morning sent a family of five — including three children — to hospital. The crash happened on the Highway 1 exit at Brunette Avenue at about 9am and was caused by a speeding driver being chased by police and evading a traffic stop. If the police didn’t chase this other vehicle this family would not have been involved in this tragic accident. The family of five includes three children. (2) under the age of 13 in critical condition and induced coma have sustained serious head injuries resulting in brain damage affecting speech and motor skills. Unfortunately the parents are unable to work due to this traumatic situation. They have a long road to recovery ahead of them. The Kids are part of our Folklor dance group family and we are kindly asking for everyones support to help the Savic family and ease their financial situation. In times of tragedy we come together as a community to lift up the ones we love, the ones who are hurting and who need our support now, more than ever!

My name is Milica S, I live in Burnaby and I am family friends with the Savic Family. I have been in contact with them through out this whole time, on behalf of Mlada Srbadija, and have been receiving updates on their current status, as well as informing them on the status of donations. These donations will be used to financially support the family while they heal by covering all costs not paid for by insurance and providing them with all the means necessary for them to be able to focus on their healing. I plan to withdraw the funds and send them as a direct deposit to the Savic family as I have been given permission, on their behalf. U Teskoj saobracajnoj nesreci koja se dogodila 27 Decembra 2020 na izlazu autoputa iskljucenje kod barnet hwy petoclana porodica Savic je zadobila teske tjelesne povrede. Svi petero prevezeni u bolnicu. Od troje djece sin je prosao sa laksim povredama dok su cerkice zadobile povrede opasne po zivot. Obe djevojcice se nalaze u indikovanoj komi i tesko povredjene traume/povrede teske glave. Roditelje takodje lakse povrede su zadobili u nesreci.
