Niña needs you!
Donation protected
*All updates and receipts have been shared and we are no longer accepting donations given Niña is now home in our families possession.*
If you know me and you know my husband, you KNOW how much our dogs mean to us. That said, we would like you to please say a prayer for us and our family before you read the rest of this message. *Thank you*
Our precious 11-year-old icon of a pup, Niña, was struck in a hit and run accident on November 17 in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. As gut-wrenching as this is, my husband luckily witnessed the horrifying situation and immediately rushed our precious pup to the nearest vet.
Upon arriving to the vet, we were advised to take Niña to the nearest specialist — she was in terrible shape and suffering severe head trauma. Fast forward to Thursday, November 18, she is in critical care as the result of severe head trauma until further notice. That said, we needs your help.
The bills are absolutely ridiculous, as any pet owner could imagine — but for us, Niña is more than just a dog. She is family! We are asking for your generous donations to help us fight her fight together. Anything helps — $1, $5, $10, $20 — thank you. I will be providing updates on a daily basis, so anybody who has been kind enough to donate can stick with us during this process.
I know this is heavy, and I am typically the most optimistic gal — but I am struggle city right now. As I'm sure you can imagine, this was not easy for me to write. Please know, if we can return the favor to you, and anybody who needs it one day, we will. I so believe in good karma — this sh*t is real!
Thank you so much for reading this and please keep your prayers up for our girl. Por favor ayúdame dios!!!
With all our love,
Laura, Carlos & Bubba Espinoza
*****Update as of 5pm ET on Friday, November 19:*****
Niña’s blood pressure is rising and her heart rate is dropping. 48 hours ago things were looking hopeful because she was opening her eyes but in the last 24 hours things have taken a turn for the worse. We are in conversations with the doctor and neurologist and have requested a prognosis so we can evaluate if Niña still has a beautiful life left in her to live.
Right now, our #1 priority is Niña’s comfort level. If we know our babygirl is in pain, Rainbow bridge might very well be calling her name. As of today, Niña is in ICU until further notice. We will provide more updates as we have them. Thank you so much for your love and support. It truly means the world….
