Nic Nat helps Jorja

Initially I was upset with my injury. But after a while, I thought that I was going to be sitting around, not doing much. 

So I decided, why not help someone else out? Why don’t we go help a sick kid out, or someone that really needs help.

I met Jorja, she’s got to be in isolation because of her illness. I couldn’t go into her room to be near her, or give her a high-5 or a hug.

I FaceTimed her and learned of her story. I thought it would be best to help, to get behind her and help raise some money for her family. They don’t quite fit the mould for all the help of traditional cancer funding.

The biggest thing is that I want other people to get on board and help out. It doesn’t have to be much, but it will go a long way for Jorja and her family.

We acknowledge that Jorja's in-patient care is provided as normal. The classification of Jorja's ilness means she does not qualify for assistance from non-government patient support organisations such as Cancer Council & Red Kite.
