Nica’s and Mark's skating expenses

Nica Digerness and Mark Sadusky are elite team USA pairs figure skaters, whom

work very hard, both on and off the ice. To support a team USA member requires

many resources. Mark is a full time coach at the Monument ice rink, where he starts

his day there at 6:00 A.M. When he is done there, he travels to the World Arena Ice

Hall to skate several sessions with Nica. After, they are done there for the day, Mark

returns to Monument, (a 30 minute drive), to resume his coaching. Nica goes to

work, a small business that she started, to help defray the insurmountable costs of

skating. They have multiple Olympic coaches, which come with a very high price

tag! Their off and on ice training, ice rink costs, costumes, skates, blades, travel,

physical therapy, coach fees, doctor appointments, and other expenses necessary at

this high level are making the struggle very difficult and exhausting to keep up.

After major reconstructive surgery, for Nica’s ankle and foot, and some fractures

elsewhere, that she has endured, she has shown a remarkable, indomitable spirit.

With her positive attitude, perseverance, and determination, she has proven that

she is capable of success. Mark and Nica have earned the recognition that they are

receiving, because of a good margin of success. As a pair, they have had a personal

best at Nationals! If anyone wants to sponsor, or help in any way, it would be
