Jeanine George is a loving and caring mother to Nichelle and grandmother to Yeliwakwenya George. Unfortunately, Jeanine lost her daughter and granddaughter suddenly in December 2022.
Her daughter, Nichelle (aged 31) and granddaughter Yeliwakwenya George (aged 10 months) have left a huge hole in our hearts. Nichelle leaves behind 4 other children, Yaw^tati (age 15) Teyotsistohkwalathe (age 8), Katsistahawi (age 4) and Katsistalahtuni (age 2). The children have lost both their mother and sister, and as a result leaves the family in need of various supports including financial need.
In this transition period, the family is currently seeking financial support in the form of childcare, home support and education needs of the children. Given the sudden nature of both Nichelle and Yeliwakwenya’s death, the family requirements are substantial on Jeanine and family at this time. Any financial support given to Jeanine and her grandchildren for the multitude of demands at this time will greatly alleviate financial and emotional stress on the family.
Jeanine George is a member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames, a First Nations community located in southwestern Ontario. She currently lives in the community with her 4 grandchildren. The community, family and relatives have been supportive of her and the little ones in this time. We appreciate any amount of support possible as it will go a long way to care for these young ones who have faced an unfortunate loss.
