Nicholas' fund for World Horse Welfare
As many people know, the two passions of my life are horses and running. So I am excited that in 2024 I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for the fabulous charity World Horse Welfare - raising money to support welfare and the horse-human partnerships all across the globe.
As someone who has loved animals since the day he learned about them, has had a passion for riding them since he first had a lesson at a riding school and as someone who has loaned and owned horses for years, it brings me happiness and joy to raise money for a cause I truly believe in and through doing a sport I love.
What better way for me to raise money for such an amazing cause than through running!
Running helps me both physically and emotionally, having started running seriously during the pandemic as a way of managing my mental health and progressing from running parkruns to in 2022, running my first ever marathon in York, at the age of 18. Unfortunately, the following April I attempted to run Manchester Marathon only for injury to cut it short at mile 13. This was devastating for me and I feel that running the amazing London Marathon in 2024 for such a great cause will help me feel a sense of redemption and achievement.
So please help me support the welfare of these beautiful and incredible animals and support the way we humans treat them going forwards by donating if your able to and thank you in advance :)
