On the morning of March 2nd around 9am, my son Nick was rear ended by an intoxicated and uninsured driver at full speed. She never slowed down, and ended up totaling his car and left him with several injuries to his face, including a broken nose, damage to his eye, and severe neck pain.

 

Even through this tragedy, we are still counting our many blessings. Nick had dropped two of his children off at school only a few minutes before the accident and the family’s sweet puppy, who was in the car during the accident, came out unharmed.

 

The small family has already been left with hospital bills, Dr bills, and a totaled vehicle. Nick’s injuries, being the main provider of the family, puts the family of five in a very difficult situation as both he and his wife have and will have to miss work over the upcoming weeks to recover from the accident.

 

Those of you who know him well, know how special of a person Nick is and many of you may have even been personally touched by his incredible sense of humor, compassion, and empathy. You may also know just how important his family is to him.
