English: Nicholas was born at only six months weighing only one pound. His preterm birth caused a cerebral palsy, ventricular bleeding, and many other complications including severe visual problems. Nicholas survived approximately four days without placenta without oxygen without food.
Four years ago, my son received a great blessing thanks to a lot of support from the community and the Estefan family. Nicholas was able to receive expensive therapy in Chicago that helped him walk, he does it with difficulty but thanks to all those who helped us he can do some steps. As a mother, I will always be grateful for fulfilling the greatest dream of my son.
This therapy is very intense and really offers great results but unfortunately, children with a condition like Nicholas if they do not receive these therapies from time to time they can set back in their development and that is precisely happening with my son right now. He should get these therapies again, but his insurance doesn't cover because the therapy center is out of Florida. Due to his growth Nicholas has developed severe scoliosis that has affected his mobility, that is the reason why he needs very intense therapies now before this continues to affect him
I ask you as a mother who only seeks the welfare of her child to help us with what you can, no matter how much your donation is you will be part of fulfilling this dream.
Spanish: Nicholas nació con seis meses de gestacion, pesando sólo una libra. Su parto prematuro causó parálisis cerebral, sangrado ventricular y muchas otras complicaciones, incluyendo problemas visuales graves. Nicholas sobrevivió aproximadamente cuatro días sin placenta sin oxígeno sin alimentos.
Hace 4 anos atras mi hijo recibio una gran bendicion, gracias a mucho apoyo de la comunidad y a la familia Estefan Nicholas pudo recibir una costosa terapia en Chicago que le ayudo a poder caminar, lo hace con dificultad pero gracias a todos los que nos ayudaron el puede dar algunos pasos. Como madre siempre le estare agradecida por cumplirle el mas grande sueno a mi hijo.
Esta terapia es muy intensa y realmente ofrece grandes resultados pero desafortunadamente ninos con la condicion como Nicholas si no reciben estas terapias cada cierto tiempo pueden retroceder en su desarrollo y eso precisamente esta pasando con mi hijo en este momento, el debe Volver a recibir estas terapias pero su seguro no las cubre porque el centro esta fuera del estado de la Florida. Debido a su crecimiento Nicholas ha desarrollado una severa scoliosis que le ha afectado la movilidad, esa es la razon por la que esta necesitando unas terapias muy intensas ahora antes que esto le siga afectando aun mas.
Le pido como madre que solo busca el bienestar de su hijo, nos ayuden con lo que puedan sin importar la cantidad de su donacion, estara usted siendo parte del cumplimiento de este sueno.
