Nicholas (Nick) Reina

Hi my name Erica Duenas. I cannot believe that I am writing this today. After a long road and battle, I regret to say that last night Nick Reina lost his fight. Nick suffered from double kidney failure and for the last 4 years he has been going to dialysis 3 times a week. About a month ago, his family’s dream finally came through that a kidney match was found. He was eager and ready to start living life to the fullest again. Tragically, Nick is now with his creator.

Nick is survived by his wife Donna, his son John and daughter Danica. He is a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. Nick and Donna are both retired NYPD officers who served during 9/11. Nick was the rock of his family.

Donna and Nick are both active members of our community who are always there for everyone and they need our help now during this most devastating and horrific moment of their lives. Donna is going to have to navigate as the sole provider and parent for her children. Please help to ease the financial burden that this family is going to face.
