Nick & James Fund
Donation protected
Nicholas & James McCarty were both born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. This requires recurring medical procedures in order to ensure that thier hearts will grow and function properly.
Nicholas' & James' next scheduled procedures are in Ferbraury of 2018. Nicholas is having a heart catheterization followed by an open-heart pulmonary artery reconstruction, and James is having a heart catheterization. Family and friends who are aware of the boys' condition know that James' prior procedures as an infant were nearly fatal. The most qualified doctors and specialists for treatment of their condition are at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital at Stanford, in Palo Alto, California.
The above mentioned procedures will require a 4 to 6 week stay in the area for pre-op test, actual procedure & recovery time, as well as follow up and release appointments, before they can return to their home state of Maryland.
This fundraiser is intended to assist thier mother, Ashly Ebeling with costs incurred during the stay in California. These costs include medical expenses for the boys, hotel, laundry, car rental, fuel, airfare, meals, and miscellaneous basic living expenses.
We are hoping to have the fundraiser completed by January 15, 2018. If we exceed our goal of $5, 000 and have remaing funds after the boys return home, we intend to make a donation in the boys' name to the childrens' hospital.
