Nick Backus Medical Expenses

Nick, an amazing friend and person to all, has endured a devastating tragedy during his soccer game. On Sunday, April 16th, 2023, Nick Backus traveled down to Illinois for a soccer game. During the 2nd half of the game, Nick attempted a header, which resulted in head pain, nausea, and difficulties staying awake. He was taken to the hospital, where CT scans discovered a brain bleed and aneurysm. Nick was transferred to Lurie Children's Hospital and was taken into emergency surgery for a Ventricular drain. As of Wednesday April 19th, he is receiving a Craniotomy to clip the aneurysm. Nick and his family are expected to be in the hospital for a while and the road to recovery will be taken step by step. Any money donated to Nick and his family would be greatly appreciated to help pay for the unexpected medical bills. This news is nothing but heartbreaking to all of his friends and family. All we can do is keep Nick in our thoughts and prayers while we stick by him throughout this extremely devastating accident.
