Nick Freeman

October 29, 2019 Nicholas was diagnosed with stage 4 Gastroesophageal Junction cancer that spread to several organs, bones and lymph nodes. Nick had 8 rounds of chemo and 5 rounds of radiation to help with the cancer in the hip bone which caused him to be unable to walk. After 4 rounds of chemo, they then discovered Nick had a blood infection which led them to stop chemo for at least a month. Nick was able to receive another 4 rounds of chemo when we discovered the treatment was not successful. Nick ran into complications and was admitted into the hospital where he was for a week and a half.  The doctors made the decision that it was time for Nick to come home and spend time with his family. Friday April 3rd, he was transported home by ambulance at 5pm. Nick spent his final day with family, friends and loved ones. Nick was surrounded by loved ones when he finally passed away at 12:49pm on Saturday April 4th, 2020.
