Hi, I'm Scott Stewart and I've known Nick Luker for 23 years. I was his youth pastor and have watched him grow up, get married, and start a family.

Since January 2018 Nick has been battling pancreatitis. He has been in and out of hospitals for the past six years and bed ridden at times up to six months. Nick is now a diabetic due to pancreas malfunction and requires insulin and enzymes to control it.

Doctors have told him he is the worst case they have dealt with and all they can do is treat the symptoms. There is no cure. If Nick has any discomfort he has to rush to the hospital because it is life threatening. He spent this past Christmas in the Hospital away from his family.

Nick has come to terms with the reality he can no longer work. He is never going to be able to hold down a job and support his family of five.

This money will enable Nick to care for his family until he is able to hopefully receive disability from the VA. This includes paying for basic essentials his family needs over the next six months at minimum.
