Nick Makris Recover Fund
Donation protected
On 4/23/2020 Nick was carjacked in San Antonio, TX and shot three times in the chest, stomach, and arm. Nick has been in the Brooke Army Medical intensive care unit for nearly two months, and after having nineteen different surgeries, Nick is finally being released and will be on the long road to recovery in a rehabilitation center. Nick's recovery will include long term physical therapy along with extensive mental and spiritual healing. This fund will support Nick's living expenses in the rehabilitation center along with all medical expenses incurred while at Brooks Army Medical.
Nick is both a veteran and high school teacher. During his time in the Marine Corps, Nick was deployed to Kuwait and served on 'Operation Southern Watch'. After Nick's military service he passionately pursued a life of teaching and coaching high school football. We pray Nick will be back to mentoring youth on and off the football field in the near future.
This fundraiser is being organized by Nick's parents, George and Sophia Makris, along with his brother, Anthony Makris. These funds will allow Nick's family to continue to focus on providing him endless love and support through this challenging time.
