Nick Pryor & Justin Walker go to Japan w Team USA

Donation protected
Nick Pryor & Justin Walker are representing Team USA Wheelchair Softball when they travel to Japan this November. They are both 3 sport athletes that devote their lives to adaptive sports on and off that field by coaching and mentoring when they aren't playing. Wheelchair softball is a newer sport and the funding for these trips is shouldered by the athletes themselves, international competition is several thousand dollars per player and they are so thankful for all of your help!!

Nick Pryor has always loved sports despite losing his leg in a shotgun accident at 4 years old. He played on a variety of club teams growing up and played college club ball at Indiana University. He has made adaptive sports his life's work. After receiving a masters degree from Arizona State University focusing on the sociology of adaptive sports and athletes, he accepted a Faculty Associate position and teaches Inclusive Community Sport.

Nick is a 2nd year player on Team USA Wheelchair Softball. He won All Tournament Rover at the 2023 World Series of Wheelchair Softball. His dedication to the sport doesn't stop on the field. He is a proud member of the board of directors for the National Wheelchair Softball Association.

Justin Walker has always had a love of sports. Growing up he was a 3 sport athlete at Valley Christian in San Jose, CA. After high school he played for West Valley Community College with hopes of being scouted to a Major League team. During a game he slid into home and collided with a catcher breaking his neck, leaving him a C7 incomplete paraplegic.

He never let that stop him as he's had a successful career in adaptive sports. This summer he competed in the Wheelchair Softball World Series winning All Tournament Short Stop. Not only is he a short stop for Team USA wheelchair softball, he is a wide receiver/middle linebacker for the wheelchair Cardinals and a forward for the Wheelchair Suns. When he isn't training/competing in sports he dedicates his time to developing the newly established Wheelchair Mercury women's basketball team.
