Nickels Family Benefit
Donation protected
When thinking of the true meaning of family, the Nickels' family, Jeremy (38), Rachel (38), and Haley (14), always come to mind. This family is so full of love, loyalty, passion, faith, and laughter.
Unfortunately, in 2000, this family received horrible news. Jeremy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of the information within the brain, and between the brain and body.
Jeremy has overcome a lot of obstacles over the years, however, recently his health has taken a turn for the worst. He has to go through extensive rehabilitation and will be traveling back and forth from hospitals and nursing homes, currently unable to stay in his own home. Rachel has been the family provider for 13 of the last 16 years. She is a very strong and dedicated woman who not only works full-time to support the family, but, also does all the household duties, takes care of their daughter, their dog, and Jeremy; always making herself last. Haley has grown up never being able to see her father fully function and has watched all of his struggles, while dealing with her own childhood stress.
This family has definitely had a lot of battles and yet, more to come. However, with their faith in God and continued prayers, they believe they can overcome this one too!
Due to Jeremy's MS, Rachel was forced to take a leave of absence from work causing financial hardship. In addition to that, the medical insurance is limited making care and medication needing to be payed for up front. All funds raised will be used to cover necessary treatments and medications for Jeremy. Any donation and prayer is greatly appreciated. A sincere thanks to each and every one of you!
