Nicki's Journey

As you may know, Nicki suffered more severe seizures recently that left her as a quadriplegic. She is now paralyzed from the chest down, and her hands, fingers, forearms, and triceps are paralyzed as well. She is incredibly grateful that she still has use of her biceps and shoulders. She has been in the hospital since June 22 and will soon be transferred to an inpatient rehab facility where she will receive intensive OT and PT in order for her to learn how to safely return home. Where she will continue with outpatient PT in hopes of regaining as much function as possible. As most of us know that any extended hospital stay/medical assistance can become extremely expensive rather quickly. We wanted to create this fundraiser to support Nicki on her journey to regain strength and function in her body.
