The Shalin Family
My sister Katrina and her husband Vitaliy have 3 amazing kids. They have gone above and beyond to be the best parents they can be. We are a close family and will always support each other, especially during challenging times in life.
Nick’s Story
Nicklas is the oldest of the 3 kids. He just turned 10 at the end of August. If you know Nick, you know his passion for dancing has grown over the years, and he is so AMAZING to watch. He is the best older brother to Kayden and Alina, and he is so loved by his parents and everyone else who has had the honor of meeting him.
The last week of September has been a whirlwind of emotions for Nick and our family and friends. On October 1, 2019, Nick was officially diagnosed with a soft-tissue cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). His treatment plan will be hard on him, emotionally and physically. We know that Nick is a fighter and will be the strongest little man.
As most of you may know, this came out of the blue, with full force. Our family and friends are doing so much to support Nick, his parents, and our family. Katrina and Vitaliy will be caring for Nick, but will also be caring for their 2 other children, so I know that this will all be so hard to handle.
Many of you have asked how to help them. Treatment and hospital stays, etc. for at least 1 year will be costly, and raising money for them will help out so much. Our goal number as we start this may not cover all upcoming expenses, but it will help them tremendously. They won’t have to worry about one more thing on top of everything else they are going through. ANY amount, no matter how small, will truly help the Shalin family during this incredibly challenging time. Their family is so loved by our community. I know we can all come together to help them and make sure they feel loved.
Let’s all rally together for Nick and his family. Let’s help Nick fight this disease! #ShalinStrong #NicksArmy. Follow the journey here - Instagram.com/ShalinStrong.
