Nicks Aquatics And Rescue
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Nick, over the last several years I have noticed on various websites and social media sites a lot of people have decided to get rid of a lot of aquatic fish of various breeds. Due to various reasons loss of family members and unable to look after the fish any longer. If they are unable to rehome them I've known them to just flush them down the toilet and throw them in lakes and ponds where they will not survive. I currently have several tanks and looking to convert my Bricked shed into a Fish home and create a pond for the unwanted fish. With a chance of rehoming them or simply looking after them. I currently have cold water fish as well as tropical fish which are now taking over my home. With your help, I would love to be able to save as many fish as I can along with any other aquatic rescue fish. I have currently started to clear out the area for the project. There is still a lot of work to be done. The first part of the project would be to prepare the shed for the fish. Which involves insulating new flooring as at the mommet it is just plyboard. I plan to remove the floor and level it off with concrete so there is sturdy flooring and levelled off. then adding the insulation. Make the racking myself to help keep costs down. You will be able to follow the progress and see where the donations are going on my Tiktok account which is @nickcoldwateraquatics and on my FB group Fish Help and Rehoming Birmingham UK Fish Help and Rehoming Birmingham. Also on Instagram @nicks_aquatic. I would also aim to collect unwanted fish within a certain distance. Once the project is complete people will be able to bring their unwanted fish to me where they will be looked after. Also, some people have found that they didn't realise that some species grow bigger than they can accommodate for them.
