Nick’s Stolen Marimba
Donation protected
In the early hours of April 13, percussionist Nick Apivor’s vehicle was broken into and the bars from his marimba (which were in a suitcase) were stolen.
The cost of replacing the bars, along with the damage to his vehicle is obviously a hardship for a freelance musician. In addition, since he uses this instrument for many musical projects, having to make other arrangements in the time it takes to order replacement bars involves rental and transport fees.
Nick has been an integral part of Vancouver’s music scene for 30 years. Thanks everyone for your concern and support.
