Hello Everyone,
Since the accident in February, when we lost our beautiful Gem, the support we have received from our family, friends, and the community is unbelievable. Our life has been a struggle, through Michael’s physical recovery and our family’s emotional recovery—which has proven to be a long dark road. Michael’s injuries have not allowed for his return to work, and with our medical bills on top of our monthly bills, life has been challenging. It is so difficult for me to admit that we are in need of help, again. This afternoon our puppy, Pepper Lolita Lavender Moon, was hit by a truck—the driver sped off. We are sitting in the emergency vet in Green Bay, trying to decide whether to put her down, or invest a large amount of money into a surgery to save her. She is Michael’s emotional support animal, and I do not think we could handle losing her after losing our beautiful daughter. She is pictured snuggling Emersyn’s blanket and stuffed unicorn, Candy Cane. She does this often on my bed, while I am working from home at my desk next to the bed. Since getting her in July, we have not had an issue with her wandering onto the road. She was outside with her brothers, when she did just that. I know I am asking a lot from a community who has given us so much, but we are hoping some of you can find it in your hearts to help our family again.
Much love and thanks,
Dana
