Hi, my Name is Nicolas Andrade and I am the father who’s child was involved in a hit and run accident on Sunday September 25th at the intersection of Gosling and Shadowbend in the Woodlands Tx. The driver of the vehicle who struck my my sons truck did so and continued about their day without regard to my child’s life not knowing whether or not my son was dead or alive. Initially the report was wrote up as a single driver accident, which, in fact, was not the case at all. After talking to my son, he told me that a white Jeep struck his vehicle, and took off, causing my sons truck to slam into a group of trees in the median and totaling my sons 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac pickup.
in the days following the accident, my family was able to produce video footage from a dash cam that caught the suspect, causing the accident, my family also was also able to obtain Ring camera footage of the vehicle immediately after the accident entering their neighborhood and driving home and parking the Jeep in the garage to hide it so it could not be found. With the help from all of our great neighbors and the help of social media we were able to find the suspect and they actually gave a full confession of guilt to a MCSO deputy. We have since been informed that there has not been a warrant pressed against anybody, nor has a ticket been issued for causing the accident. With that being said, there is a lifelong road of recovery for my son as he sustained a broken collarbone that required a titanium plate and seven screws to try to get it to align as close as possible to normal. Nicolas also has three fractures in his spine that are able to be seen from the original MRI, but the doctors do not want to do surgery at the time because of the possibility of causing more damage from all the swelling around the area. Once Nicolas is able to start healing, he will eventually need to get back to work, school, and to and from the numerous hospital visits ahead of him while he recovers. After talking to the officer who investigated the case, we were informed that they suspect driving the jeep is in fact a 15 year old juvenile and the possibilities for a prosecution will be very difficult because of the age of the irresponsible driver and parents. I am now reaching out to the community to ask for all of your love, help and support financially and to help with all of the medical expenses that have already started piling up for his recovery. Thank you each and everyone of you for all that you have done and for how you have helped to find the suspect and bring them to justice for my son. My family loves you all and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
