Nicolas Gandara’s Memorial Fund

My name is Dali, and it is with a heavy heart to have to share the news regarding the loss of my beloved brother, Nicolas Gandara. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Darlene and their six children- Nicolas, Dominic, Sebastian, Jordan, Mya, and their six-week old daughter Mariah.

Nic passed away on Sunday June 2nd, at the age of 38. His life was cut short as he was a victim of a senseless crime that we cannot digest. The LAPD are continuing their efforts to bring justice for this act.

Nic was truly the most vibrant, optimistic, ambitious person who loved his family more than anything in the world. Anyone that knew my brother knows that his presence was larger than life. He would go out of his way to advocate for his friends and family members. He had an uncanny ability to somehow make everyone in his large circle feel loved and special. He truly was above and beyond and this tragedy has left the giant hole in our hearts.

Details of the memorial service will be shared as soon as they are available. In the meantime, we have established a GoFundMe page for those who wish to support his family and share memories of Nic.

All contributions will greatly assist Darlene and the children as they navigate through this sudden life altering tragedy, without the biggest love of their lives.

However unreal this feels, it’s our new reality. Our family’s thoughts are comforted as we close our eyes and know, that my brother’s spirit is in heaven with God. In that light, we would like to focus on the bright impact of Nic’s life and hear everyone’s great memories of his special soul.
