Nicole and Mark’s Medical Fundraiser

While Nicole and Mark were visiting Thailand last week, they were seriously injured in an accident riding an elephant that unexpectedly went mad.

Nicole has suffered two fractures in her spine, and will have to relearn how to sit up and walk. She is currently bedridden in a back brace.

Mark was gored by the elephant. He has a shattered pelvis, injured spine, and has already undergone an emergency surgery with more surgeries to come.

It has been extremely hard to navigate such an accident in a foreign country away from family and unable to communicate with hospital staff because of the language barrier.

Currently, they are working on trying to get the both of them recovered enough to make the flight home. Both Nicole and Mark will need to spend more time in the hospital and in physical therapy upon their return home.

With such a recovery ahead, we are trying to lighten the burden of the mounting medical bills and travel expenses. Nicole does not have health insurance as she is a self employed hairstylist.
