Nicole and Ralph's LOVE for CHARITY!

BACKGROUND

ASOMEPACO is a non-profit organization in Costa Rica that provides aid to a community that lives in extreme poverty in Playa Azul, located near the tourist hot spot called Tarcoles (this area is known for their crocodile tours on the Tarcoles river). Further south, this community is neighbored by the multi-billion dollar luxury development called Los Sueños Resort and Marina, where people from all over the world own or rent homes, known worldwide as a famous golf and fishing destination.

Founded by sports psychologist Dr. Samir Guzmán, who seeks to help children, elderly adults and people with disabilities that live within the Tárcoles and Playa Azul areas.

ASOMEPACO encourages and promotes physical and mental health through strategies that help strengthen a community while maintaining social balance and peace.

Ralph and I have greatly supported this organization. We have donated food, clothes, school supplies, and other items for the past few years. Sadly, during the pandemic, these fantastic and kind people lost a lot of their yearly funding; consequently, the community's aid significantly decreased, mainly affecting the children that live there. Ralph and I saw, in person, how many families were left with no food during the pandemic.

"We will continue to help this community, known to us as a unified fishing village that has given so much to society and has received so little. We ask that instead of a wedding gift, our guests and all friends and family are encouraged to donate to the organization ASOMEPACO and help us reach the $50,000 goal we seek to achieve. The money will be used to fix the property that Dr. Samir Guzman has designated as a children's learning center and a shelter (when needed). The funds will also help to buy food and supplies for several families in the community. We trust Dr. Samir will allocate the donations appropriately, and we will continue to provide him with the help he needs. We can't do this alone... please join us on this mission!"
