Nicole Dehart Recovery & Care
Donation protected
Nicole DeHart was born with Spina Bifida. Since she was a little girl, Nicole’s smile has brought light to her family and friends. From a young age, Nicole had an extraordinarily loving and giving spirit. This transformed into countless hours volunteering for Bunnell Elementary, Fort Matanzas, Palm Coast Library, Daytona State College, and Habitat for Humanity. In the classroom, Nicole worked with at-risk students.
Throughout her lifetime, Nicole has endured about 46 surgeries. Nicole was recently discharged from a serious & specialized surgery. Her recovery became complicated, which forced Nicole into an emergency medical flight back to Miami. Upon arriving, Nicole’s parents were faced with a difficult decision during an extremely delicate surgery. Doctors were not confident that Nicole would pull through. However, to her parents expectations, her fighting spirit prevailed! Following this procedure, Nicole’s been in ICU for about 4 weeks. Her parents have been by her side through this entire process. They are planning for Nicole to be transferred to a long-term medical recovery center in Ormond. Nicole is on a feeding tube and we are hopeful that after 6 months to a year this can be removed which would require another surgery.
Nicole’s loyalty and passion for her friends over the years is priceless! She enjoys going to the park/movies, painting, playing cards/games, and crocheting. One of her favorite activities with friends is bowling!
As friends and family of Nicole’s, we are reaching out to you for prayers and support that will assist her family in meeting the financial demands and hardships that are coming from these quickly rising medial costs. Thank you and God Bless~
