Nicole LaHaie's Medical Fund

Last week my 38 year old niece, Nicole LaHaie, was experiencing extreme pain and discomfort in her right foot and leg. It was bad enough that she drove herself to the ER to have it checked out.

The ER determined she had a blood clot in her right leg and admitted her to the CardioVascular Intensive Care Unit. The ICU doctor  inserted a stent in her right leg to try and get blood flow to her right foot. However, after exhausting all treatments over the next several days they informed us that her right foot and lower leg would have to be amputated. The surgery was  performed on Monday Nov. 21.

Nicole is in the recovery stage right now and is keeping a positive attitude and awaiting assignment to a Rehabilitation Facility. There is no telling how long her recovery will take, but suffice to say Nicole will be out of work for some time and may need some modifications to her house to make it "user friendly".

I have set this page up to try and raise money for her rehabilitation and to help pay her mortgage and bills until she able to support herself.  Any donation assistance that you can provide will be appreciated and put to good use.
