Nicole needs you because her family needs you.

A dear friend to so many, Nicole Ditrolio Standley, left this world on October 2, 2024. “Nic” was a formidable creative force who carved a beautiful path forward into areas uncharted. From her JetSetFamily brand adventures to her work with Oprah, The O Magazine, Nicole was amongst the most talented and committed to her work. In all her endeavors, Nic was true to her unique voice, a rare trait in today’s modern world. Nicole worked tirelessly as the VP of the Troy Swim team and loved her time working with the kids.
She found so much joy in making sure they had a memorable experience. She loved children and she wanted to see them all succeed in every level.

She spoke fluent rock n roll the way a Parisian speaks French. She had both the charisma of a celebrity and the depth of compassion of the humblest of souls. Under her tenacity to create a world she wanted for her daughter, Nic resonated kindness. With a dark sense of humor, an infectious laugh, a signature cackle, and a deep faith in things unseen, she illuminated joy into our lives.

Part of what made her so unique was her interest in others. She wanted to know the details, all of them, and she cared so authentically about those in the world around her. An advocate for the underdog, Nicole championed what was right and offered her generosity of time to those she loved. She was a tried and true, loyal friend to so many, dedicating so much time in making other peoples lives better, always celebrating other people’s successes.

Her story was always go big or go home and she was always aimed in the direction of new adventures - how fortunate we were to be along for the scenic ride. With content as unique as she was, Nic offered us a glimpse into her world - a unique West Coast menagerie of mosh pits, grace, pearls, Doc Martins, family, and redemption.

More than anything else, Nic adored her family: her husband, Jamie, and her amazing, beautiful daughter Coco - the sun in her sky.

At moments, Nicole was still a little girl who lost her mother too early in life and at other times, not so much in spite of that but because of it, she was an epic motherly force, the most caring mama to Coco.

Nicole left this life’s stage suddenly this past week, after passing away at her home, but her spirit remains in our hearts. As her daughter, Coco, and husband, Jamie, move forward through this unimaginably difficult time , we hope to honor Nicole’s memory with thoughtfulness and generosity.

Unfortunately, life insurance was beyond them at the time of Nic’s passing. We hope to pay our respect in sharing funeral costs and family expenses as we grieve together. Any contributions beyond this will help with life expenses and hopefully launching Coco into this world a little easier. Your gift of any size is truly appreciated and will directly benefit her family. If unable to give, we ask that you offer a prayer or a good deed for the loss of an irreplaceable soul. Nicole, you will be tremendously missed beyond measure.
