Nicole Stasko Lamer and Family

2/8/24 Update:

Nicole was moved to Select Speciality Latrobe for a few weeks in January. Yesterday, she was moved to UPMC Shadyside for a further neurological work up, ventilator weaning, and to determine future steps. She continues to be critically ill but is awake and able to communicate by mouthing words and is able to slightly move her extremities. She continues to have a long road to recovery ahead of her and we appreciate all of the thoughts, prayers, and support for her family. Nicole is a child of God.

She is Adam’s wife.

She is 7 year old Isabella’s mommy.

She is the 41 year old daughter of Aggie and Sonny.

She is a niece, cousin, and friend to many.

She is a Multiple Sclerosis warrior.

She is a beautiful person inside and out.

She is currently fighting for her life.

Nicole was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in high school. She has fought an amazing fight and continues to do so despite any difficulties sent her way. She was diagnosed with COVID in September. Since then, she has battled COVID pneumonia, sepsis, pulmonary emboli, a secondary bacterial infection, and other complications. Last weekend, she was placed on a ventilator and continues to be in the Intensive Care Unit at Jefferson Hospital. Her immediate family was called in on Sunday as she took a turn for the worst.

All thanks and praise to God that her oxygen & blood gases are improving. Nicole has a great team of doctors and nurses who are doing all they can. Our faith and trust is in our God who is the ultimate Healer and we are trusting Him for a full recovery.

In addition, her husband suffered a cardiac event and was hospitalized earlier this week. He has since been discharged and is by her side. As a family, we are asking for continued prayers and cards. If you are able and willing, please consider donating to help their family with the cost of her medical bills and any other needs. Please continue to speak the Name of Jesus over Nicole and her family, and to pray for a complete healing and miracle in her life!
