Nicole's Cancer Fight
Donation protected
In May of this year, Nicole (Blackwelder) Gordon was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. At the time of her diagnosis, she wad informed that the cancer had spread to her lungs and stomach.
Because of the fluid buildup in her lungs, she currently has to go in every 3 days to have them drained. Breathing and talking can be a challenge at times.
She underwent 2 rounds of chemotherapy with the hope of her tumor shrinking before having surgery to remove it. After meeting with her doctor this week, she found out that even with the chemo, the tumor is growing at a very aggressive pace. It has now attached itself to her liver, pancreas, kidney, small intestine and stomach.
The plan is now to attack the tumor with the most aggressive chemotherapy they can. Unfortunately this will also come with terrible side effects and it is unknown how she will react to it.
Nicole is continuing to work as she is able to. However, it is not known long she will be able too after she starts this new course of treatment.
Those of you that know Nicole, know she is a strong woman but she is now in the fight of her life. She has such a positive attitude even with the diagnosis she faces. Please keep her, Austin and their 3 children, MaKayla, Alexxys and Seth in your prayers.
Nicole, Austin and their children moved to Kearney, NE in 2017. She is fighting this battle away from most of their friends and family. That alone is difficult, but this will also create a financial hardship for them. I am hoping that we can provide a little support in that area so there is one less thing that they need to worry about. They should be able to focus on kicking cancer's butt and getting her healthy again.
The money will go directly to Nicole to help with her medical expenses and any time missed from work. Please consider donating if you are able to, every bit helps.
We thank you in advance for your donation. Your thoughts, prayers and donations are truly appreciated.
Please be sure to share Nicole's link with your friends and family.
