Most of you know Nicole has been battling auto immune disease for the past 6 years. She has been in and out of the hospital for the past 2 years, spending more time there than at home for the past year. She has been a true warrior through this battle and has remained so optimistic. This morning, May 20th, 2016, she lost her battle with the disease and went home to be with the Lord.
Please keep Matt and Nathan in your prayers as they go through this horrific time. They were the center of Nicole’s life. I met Nicole when Nathan entered kindergarten. She devoted more time to helping out at the school than half a dozen parents combined. When she wasn’t able to go to school anymore, she did things at home to help.
Matt brings honor to the vow “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.” He has been her pillar, always by her side and taking over the responsibilities of being a single dad while Nicole was hospitalized.
Nathan will be promoting from 6th grade in just 2 weeks, and moving up to junior high school. He will be facing 2 of the biggest challenges of his life at the same time. Please help him get through this transition with love, and by making his life as normal as possible. Please ask your children to look out for him and be a friend.
Our goal is to help Matt and their family focus on taking care of each other instead of the financial challenges of medical bills and other expenses at this time. Please donate what you can, no amount is too small.
