Nicole’s Breast Cancer Battle

Donation protected

*04/07/21 UPDATE*

Today nicole and I received some very disappointing news. She had a CT scan and it showed progression again :(

After her difficult bout last summer she was started on a. Ew combination treatment that took charge and starting knocking the cancer back fast. She has multiple positive scans showing reduction in tumors, her labs all looked great, tumor marker was lower than it’s been in 3 years. Everything was going great.

Unfortunately today was not great news. We spoke with her oncologist and they want to keep her on the same meds but adjust dosage and see if we can get back out in front.

Nicole is also getting a consult tomorrow morning for ovary removal or hysterectomy since her cancer is so heavily estrogen driven.

She will likely have surgery in her near future as well as higher dosages of her current meds so all donations are greatly appreciated to help her keep moving forward.

Thank you all so much in advance!

*04/07/21 UPDATE*

This fundraiser is dedicated to my wife Nicole who is in continuous treatment for breast cancer.

Nicole was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer in 2017 and has been through hell and back like so many others.
She has endured multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, clinical trial, liver stents, drains and all the ups and downs to go with it.

Her battle to stay ahead of the cancer has been constant as she is now on her 3rd reoccurrence and the cancer has spread multiple times.

She is now Stage 4 Metastatic, has many tumors in her liver and elsewhere that she is fighting to stay ahead of, she will be in treatment indefinitely.

We uprooted our lives and moved 2,000 miles across the country for her quality of life.  A better climate for the side effects she suffers with daily and to seek higher level care.

She has attempted 2 different notable clinical trials that unfortunately both failed, leaving her cancer to continue growth. She is now started another med with the hopes it will be successful at slowing things down.

Very recently, after the 2nd trial failed Nicole went into liver failure as her tumors were blocking biliary ducts and causing many other problems in her liver.
She was admitted to the hospital immediately for emergency stent placement and we weren’t  sure if she would come out of it.

1 day after discharge she was back in the ER and admitted again as the stent has already failed and she was rapidly declining again. She went back in for a 2nd surgery to place another stent and drain more fluid from her abdomen.

Just a couple days after her 2nd attempt at discharge she was back in the ER and admitted for a 3rd time for abdominal pain and fluid build up from the cancer. She had to undergo a pleurx drain placement and now has a drain tube to keep fluid levels down while we hope the new meds work and hopefully eventually resolves itself.

She spent days and days in the hospital on morphine recovering, alone because Covid precautions wouldn’t allow me to be there with her. She hasthe heart of a warrior and definitely knows how to fight at this point but that was still very hard on her.

Through her battle we have amassed substantial medical expenses not covered by insurance so It is my goal to raise some assistance to help keep her in the fight. Please help us keep her up and moving in the right direction.

She was diagnosed at such a young age of 32, Her candle is far from extinguished, please help keep it burning for her.
Thank you all so much!
