Nicole's trip to Gambia to help the youth

Donation protected
Hi guys,

2020 has been a little bit crazy, scary and all around horrible at times, but I feel like it broke me down to build me back up - in a good way. I decided somewhere around August that I was going to quit my job and follow my dreams and passions. I tried to quit for 3 months and as of last Friday I am scare-fully unemployed. For the longest time I wanted to help the world in a big way, my father and I even spent just shy of 100k getting my Master's in Education, which because I found a lot more money working in marketing I never used. 2020 has put many things into perspective for me, from losing a friend to going nuts from not seeing family, I have decided to follow my heart and give back as much as I can while sustaining my way of life for my son.

I am working and traveling with a friend from The Juwara Empowerment Foundation (JEF). It is a non-profit organization registered in Washington State geared towards promoting education, entrepreneurship and youth sports. They provide funding to promising students in order to help them attain education or business dreams when poverty would otherwise prevent them from getting an education or owning a business. They believe that educating the underprivileged is one of the best investments in the future and provides a catalyst for positive change.

Their mission is to inspire, support, encourage, strengthen, and empower the underprivileged to be in a better position through education, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and youth sports. With your support, I can help them accomplish it. http://www.juwaraempowermentfoundation.org

I leave on Christmas Eve 2020 and return 18 days later. During that time I am bringing all the generous donations I have received from many friends and businesses. However, I still have a pretty big list of things I would like to help with.

Here are some of the things we still need:

School books
Phones
Over the counter medicines and sterile ointments
Bandages
Tennis shoes size 10-11.5 men's
Two trophies
Watches
Sports equipment
Calculators
Batteries
Water
Nutritious food
Matching jerseys
Hygiene products men and woman

While there we will watch a soccer tournament the young men in the picture above are having, spend time looking at lots to buy to eventually build a school on, give donations to everyone involved in the organization and spread as much care and love as possible.

I normally don't like to ask for help, but I believe there is power in numbers. I want to bring light to dark situations and help where it is needed. If you can help I promise it will be put to good use, if you can't help please share so we can bring as much help to The Gambia and it's youth as possible.

Feel free to text or call me if you would like to know more about my trip and our efforts [phone redacted]

Sincerely,

Nicole Steiner
