Help Nicole fight Lymphoma in Lebanon
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Isis Al-Alam, I am Lebanese American living in New York city, and for the last year, I have been watching my 22-year-old cousin fight against non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in Beirut, Lebanon as the country collapses due to an economic crisis. This form of cancer has been very hard on Nicole and the family due to the situation in Lebanon. She has already been through multiple rounds of chemo that have proven unsuccessful. Her medications are hard to access, often having to look for them in 5-6 pharmacies on a monthly basis. Hospitals are not well equipped and are currently severely understaffed. She underwent an allogenic bone marrow transplant that did not lead to great results either. Six months later, her tumor almost doubled in size. Her doctors at Hotel Dieu and the American University of Beirut Medical Center decided that the next treatment course will be CAR T-cell treatment which is only available abroad and costs about 200,000$. Nicole has been displaying incredible courage throughout her treatment while finishing her BA in nursing.
We kindly ask that you donate to this cause and please feel free to share with your friends and family. If you work at a company that has platforms for donations please share it around as much as you can.
Thank you,
Isis
