Nic's half Marathon for Myeloma UK
2 years ago, my Dad, Jeremy, passed away after a long and valiant battle against Multiple Myeloma.
Growing up, I played most sports, taking up my parents weekends (The tables have well and truly turned and I am now that parent!). My Dad would be there with chocolate chip muffins for me and the team, cheering me on and also telling me how he would do it and that I should listen to his advice!!
I ran (sort of) a Half Marathon a number of years ago and although then in my 20's he was stood near the finish line cheering me on telling me how amazing I was...I took a long time and he was there for hours!
I'm running the Nottingham Half Marathon in September and this will be the first time he wont be there to cheer me on at an event, albeit he would probably be quite pleased he wouldn't have to battle the traffic to get parked...not a patient driver!!
I'm never really one to ask for help, however the time has come. Please help and sponsor my run. The money raised is going to Myeloma UK. Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. They are helping myeloma patients live longer and with a better quality of life.
Thank you,
Nic x
