Nic's Recovery
Nic Altenderfer is an extremely intelligent, caring and outgoing 20 year old student at Lehigh University. When Nic isn't studying, he enjoys hanging out with friends and being with his family.
Last night, 8/25, Nic fell off his skateboard and landed on the right side of his head. He walked back to his house and told his roommates about his accident. Nic then went to lay down for bed, but after his roommates went to check on him, they knew something was wrong so they took him to the hospital. On the way there, Nic went unconscious. After arriving at the hospital, Nic had immediate surgery and is now in a medically induced coma for the next 48-72 hours. Nic is currently in the ICU at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, these next few days will be critical for Nic, as well as extremely stressful and emotional for the Altenderfer family.
We are extremely grateful for Nic's roommates and their sense of urgency in seeking medical attention for Nic.
Butch and Brenda, Nic's parents, as well as his sister Gionna, are the type of people that would give you the shirt off their back and offer their support and generosity in any situation. It's their turn to receive our support and generosity during this difficult time. Donations will be used to relieve any financial stress or burdens the Altenderfer family may encounter during Nic's recovery. Thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
