NICU Fight Fund for Baby Tripp and Family
Donation protected
Hi my name is Ashley Rackers. I am the sister of Aubrey Allen and the Aunt of Tripp Allen. I have been asked many times “how can we help?” the situation that the Allen family is currently facing. Here is their story and an outlet to provide them with love, support and assistance.
On June 22nd, Aubrey went in for a routine appointment and was diagnosed with preeclampsia. This punched her ticket for an overnight hospital stay that quickly turned into an induction and the 3.5 week early arrival of Tripp Joseph Allen on June 23rd at 6:03pm!
Due to prematurity, Tripp was taken fairly quickly to the Level 2 nursery where he was monitored and treated for Respiratory Distress Syndrome. St. Mary’s staff determined shortly thereafter that they had done all they could and he needed further assistance. Tripp was transported by ambulance to the NICU at Women's and Children's Hospital in Columbia where he currently resides for an unknown amount of time. He is currently receiving respiratory support through CPAP, nutritional support through a feeding tube, and phototherapy for the treatment of jaundice.
Any parent who comes through the NICU, whether it be one day or 100 days, knows what it's like and experiences the fear and emotion that follow. My hope is to raise funds to help offset the large medical bills, time off of work unpaid, transportation to and from Columbia, food and any other expenses that may raise for the Allen’s.
We appreciate all the love and support!
