Nigel Daniels Law School Fund

Nigel Daniels was born in Denver, raised by a single mom, who often struggled to make ends meet.  After losing his mom a month before graduating high school, Nigel made a promise to himself that he would go to law school.  After years of hard work and relentless dedication, Nigel was accepted to the University of Denver Sturm School of Law and will be attending in the Fall of 2019.  Nigel is carrying the dreams of his family and community on his shoulders and he cannot do this alone.  Law school tuition is extremely expensive, and even with a full-time job in the Mayor’s office, scholarships, financial aid and loans, he will need help with books, a new laptop, fees and tuition.  

Nigel’s entire life has been focused on this moment.  Surrounded by his family, friends, and colleagues, he wants nothing more than to become a lawyer to give back to the community that has given him so much.  Nigel plans to use his law degree to fight for true equity in education, leveling the playing field for all students of color and to help build the next generation of leaders. 

Law school starts in August and we are committed to supporting Nigel as he takes this important next step in becoming a leader in our community.
