Nigel ( Mono ) and Caryn need Your Help

G'day Folks.. My name is Justin and I am a long time mate of Caryn and Nigel.

Tragedy has struck on a routine drive and now they are in need of our help.

Any assistance will be great.. please read the following post by Nigel regarding the incident.

Hi all, Caryn & i have been involved in a head-on car accident today on winn Rd.

Approximately a kilometre before clear mountain rd ... We where heading towards our workshop in Brendale... as we started to crest a small hill with a bend to the right & ... (the little electric van struggles with any inclines so at this stage we were only traveling well under the posted limit but as we crested this rise it was only to reveal an oncoming car had already crossed the center line by half a car with and within a split second the car was totally in our lane heading straight for us just meters away ... l had Zero time to change the situation... pure instinctive swerve left action engaged & braced for imminent Impact both of us have seatbelt & air bag wounds.plus lots of bumps & bruises

Caryn has 7 broken ribs ... black & blue legs & arms ... I have broken hip & broken both right lower leg bones...

The Police identified that Driver of the oncoming car was under the influence (who Knows how much & what) plus carrying extra speed from the downhill straight ... l never lost consciousness and my only thoughts were WTF this can't be happening ...

He was trapped in the car & had to be cut out ... He was in a very bad way, this triggered forensics to be called and.The road was blocked..

Why am I posting this .. this I my message to anyone before getting into a car... don't drive under the influence of any drugs at all & allow extra time on these country roads..

The other car had expired rego & think of others I'm lucky to be alive..

I would like to thank all the fantastic services and community minded people that gave there time to help strangers in need & to the dozens of dedicated people here at the #RBH

The costs have already started pouring in & this will have a dramatic effect to Caryn & I the worry is not knowing just when they will stop ..

I spoke to Nigel 10amish today 09/02/2025 and he said he was about to go into surgery and get pins in his leg.

This is a terrible thing to happen to some really great people who have helped so many people in the community for a very long time..

They are always the first to lend a hand and this setback will truly affect them immensely.

I know they will appreciate anybody who can visit and give them some moral support also..
