In Loving Memory of Nikenson Bazelais

Donation protected

Nikenson (Nik) Bazelais passed away on July 7th, 2020, after a five year battle with Cancer and a mild case of COVID-19 at NYU Langone Hospital. He was only 49 years old and left behind his wife, Libny and daughter Rachél, two sisters Seurette and Nancy, and brother Gabriel. Nik was a dear friend and colleague to many of us. He was a devoted father, a great friend, a loving brother, and a newlywed beloved husband.

My father was a very caring, generous, and kind man. He had tremendous passion and dedication for freestyle wrestling and spent a lot of his free time officiating as a PSAL Referee. Whenever someone needed help, he was there no matter what the circumstances were. He'd drive miles just to help out. He was a good man in a storm. My Dad loved his friends and family dearly. He was surrounded by love when he passed on with friends and family by his side.

At this time, I would like to ask for support in the most appropriate manner possible as we continue, as a community, to power through this devastating COVID-19 pandemic.  For those looking to offer their support to Nik's family,  we ask that you consider donating to this GoFundMe campaign and encourage you to please share with your network of friends & family. We realize that offering financial support to the Bazelais family during this uncertain time may be difficult for some. Please know that any amount is appreciated as we work closer to reaching our fundraising goal.

Thank you all. Please stay healthy and safe. We are all in this together.

I am so grateful the amazing support and following we've received. Any extra funds will be put towards our new stretch Goal.

Stretch Goal:
A headstone for Colette and Nikenson Bazelais
