Nikki & Greg's IVF Support

Throughout the past two years, friends and family have been by Nikki & Greg’s side, praying for good news for the Brooker family.

Anyone who knows Nikki and Greg can attest to their positive and loving personalities. Nikki and Greg were blessed with their first and only child, Jensen, born February 2019. They’ve worked tirelessly with doctors to find out how to extend their family. After two years of trying and with doctors running all the tests they could, Nikki was most recently diagnosed with presence of a protein BCL6, probable endometriosis. Endometriosis is a condition that slowly scars the uterus and is what has made having children so difficult. Their doctors now think their best chance to conceive is for Nikki to take two shots of Lupron Depot (each costing $1,000 out of pocket). Lupron Depot suppresses the hormones that cause endometrial tissue to grow. After waiting several more months for this treatment to start working and several other doctors appointments and testing, they will then try IVF AGAIN - their FOURTH transfer.

Without getting too detailed, their first transfer ended with a chemical pregnancy, the second didn’t work, the third resulted in a positive pregnancy test (which brought soo much joy!!), but at their first ultrasound they learned Nikki had a miscarriage, resulting in more appointments, heartache & pain.

Unfortunately, their insurance doesn’t cover fertility treatments after their first attempt. They have scheduled appointments to start injections mid-end of January and will need to pay out of pocket, costing well over $7,000 - not including appointments in Vermont and other miscellaneous expenses.

It’s hard to find the right words and I know I’m not alone in saying “I wish I could help…” “let me know what I can do…” “I’m so sorry…”

I thought this would be a good way we can all help. & maybe it won’t cover the full amount but I believe anything will help make this process a little less stressful for The Brooker family. They don’t deserve this…nobody does. It’s not right for any family to have to go through , especially them!
