Nikkis ongoing battle with cancer
Donation protected
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read Nikki's story. I am Veronica Vigneux and Nikki Shank is my cousin. Nikki and I grew up together as children and she is like a sister to me now.
At the young age of 28(almost 29) Nikki was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer that was aggressively growing. She had a bilateral mastectomy the day before she turned 29. Nikki underwent 4 months of chemo, lost all her hair and was severely sick, she powered through with her strength and couage and WON!
Nicole began picking up the pieces, moving on with life and underwent reconstructive surgery in Toronto to gain back what cancer had taken from her. After having a gene test done, Nicole had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 30 to prevent the possibility of getting cancer again.
Recently through a CT scan, Nicole received devastating news that she now has stage 4 inoperable lung cancer.
Nicole is the single mother of a 9 year old beautiful girl. This little girl needs her mom, as does her family and friends.
Nicole currently lives in Windsor but has been sent to Oshawa to receive trial chemo and immunothereapy.
Nicole is in need of donations to help with the costs of having to be treated out of town, travel, lodging, hotels etc. Any donation, small or large is greatly appreciated and will help Nicole be able to focus her time and energy on fighting once again. If you are unable to donate at this time, thank you for reading her story and please share it so we can get Nicole what she deserves ANOTHER CHANCE TO LIVE!
