Niko Joseph Varela funeral costs

It is with deep sadness that I have to share with you that, my closest friend Cha’Rell lost her sweet boy, Niko. He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 14. Our hearts are completely shattered. Niko was (and is) a beloved son, nephew, grandson, friend, and brother. He leaves a gaping hole in our family, and his sudden departure brings with it unspeakable grief, along with heavy, unexpected financial burden for the Varela family. No parent should EVER have to struggle to figure out how to afford the enormous cost it takes to arrange a funeral for their young child while navigating devastating grief.

I want this to be an opportunity for all of us to shower her family with love and support, to help offset funeral expenses during this extremely challenging and traumatic time (especially during the holidays.)

For those who maybe did not have the chance to meet Niko, but would generously like to give, it’s important to me for you to know how special Niko is to his family and to everyone who knows and loves him. I'd really like to share with you more about him -

Niko lived a life full of tremendous love, but also many health struggles. He was diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial disorder at a very young age, but has fought like a warrior ever since! He shared his sweet smile with everyone he encountered. He loved to giggle, listen to music (esp music from the Trolls movies!) and spending time with his sweet sister, Selenna.

Niko taught all of so much about enjoying the simple things in life. Cha’Rell, Armando and Selenna loved him with all their hearts and made sure he experienced life to the fullest as a family. Niko’s existence has made a significant impact in every heart who was lucky enough to meet him.

Many have reached out with love and support asking how to help. Truly, thank you. As we gather to honor Niko’s life and his legacy, What would be most helpful at this time are monetary gifts to help cover the high cost of everything that comes with planning a funeral for a loved one. It’s with an extremely heavy heart that we turn to you for support. I know it’s hard with the holidays (and the economy in general), but anything helps, and we would be immensely grateful for any generosity you can spare.
