LONG LIVE NIKO - FOREVER 20
Hi, my name is Randi and I have created this GoFundMe account in an attempt to help my sister Shauna lay her son Niko to rest. Niko was tragically taken from us on Saturday 10/14/23 in a motor vehicle accident on Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. Niko was only 20 years old and had his entire adult life ahead of him. The heartache and pain my sister is enduring right now is unbearable, unimaginable and completely overwhelming. No Mother should ever have to experience the loss of a child and no mother can prepare for the hurt, anger, and confusion that comes with it.
Niko was an amazing and humble human! He had a warm heart, helping hands, a creative mind and the biggest and brightest smile. He worked hard, always showed respect, had a passion for music, a love for football and some skill in the video gaming world. He was a boy, a man, a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a friend and a child of God. We all loved him and will miss him dearly.
Shauna is an amazing mother. She loves her children unconditionally, she provides for them single handedly, she supports their dreams and challenges them to do good in life! She has always been a proud mother. 10 amazing kids, all 4 of the older kids are graduates and a productive member of society! If you know this family, you know how welcoming, providing, helping and loving they are. You can only imagine the hard work, dedication and self sacrifice it takes to be a mother to 10 children. Who would have the time or energy to help others?
We've all had help with babysitting, a place to stay, a hot meal, someone to talk to, a prayer, help moving - they are always helping someone!
This family has poured their love into so many of us in so many ways and now I am asking that we pour our love back into them!
Please consider a donation, big or small to help with the funeral expenses. And if you can't, that's okay. Say a prayer, keep Niko's mother and siblings in your thoughts as they navigate through their loss and uncertainties.
Much love, Randi.
